The big disappointment of last week was the discovery that Apple had mainly pulled the AirPrint support of OS X 10.6.5, which would allow you to print documents directly from iOS on almost every shared network printers. Native support for AirPrint was only available on a small number of HP-compatible AirPrint printers. Although there are ways to recover AirPrint support via the command line, they are slightly beyond the capabilities of most users.

Enter FingerPrint, a new application from Collobos Software that allows AirPrint printing via Bonjour for most omitted printers. He accomplishes this trick by tricking Hello so that he broadcasts your normal printer so that iOS 4.2 can see it.

Very nice, and the price is reasonable at $ 7.99. Just to make sure the software works for you, however, Collobos has provided a free 7-day trial. Give it a download and see if it works for you: it worked for us.
