Omar Gonzalez is back in Major League Soccer and thanks some of his teammates on the US national team for facilitating the decision to join Toronto FC.
The defenseman won the MLS Cup with the LA Galaxy three times before moving to Pachuca in January 2016. Since then, he has been working in Mexico.
Returning to MLS, he will be badociated with one of the league's most prominent clubs, alongside long-time international teammates Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore.

Despite these difficulties, Toronto has been a dominant force in the MLS for the last five years, reaching two consecutive MLS Cup finals and hosting a historic season to win the Supporters Shield and MLS Cup in 2017.
"In recent years, I was watching Toronto closely and when the opportunity came back and they were at the top of the allotment list, it made sense because their team is very strong, they have a backlog of the playoffs, and aspire to win a Concacaf title.
