Watch all goals and key games while the Gregg Berhalter era starts for the USMNT during a friendly match against Panama.

The Gregg Berhalter era begins for the United States Men's National Team. The Americans play their first game under the new manager Sunday night against Panama.

The two opponents of Concacaf meet at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and everyone turns the page. Berhalter took over from Dave Sarachan in December after a 13-month run as a goalkeeper after the US failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. He promised a new culture and a new style of play , that his MLS team will seek to put into action on the ground against Los Cbaderos. Panama, which competed in its first Football World Cup last summer and had a group stage outing, stepped down from its veteran status and played under interim coach Gary Stempel.

The United States quickly absorbed pressure from Panama after Jeremy Ebobisse's change of leadership, but eventually resorted to a pair of Panama centers and escaped with possession to relieve tension. Ebobisse is one of five starters to get his first cap of the night, joining Nick Lima, Djordje Mihailovic, Corey Baird and Daniel Lovitz.

The best chance of the United States came in the eighth minute after a sequence that started with an accumulation in the back. Cristian Roldan made his way to the center, before throwing a wide-left pbad for Ebobisse, who is more of a target Portland Timbers player. His center spotted Gyasi Zardes in the center of the box, but the Columbus Crew forward's header sailed just up the bar, keeping it at 0-0.
