A five-day oral polio vaccination campaign (OPV) was launched.

The goal of the OPV exercise is to eradicate the disease in 11 countries considered to be at high risk, 2.6 million vaccinated children under five.
Speaking at the field launch of Ronald Ngala Elementary School, Mombasa County Commissioner, Evans Achoki, said he would provide the necessary support for the success of the training. .
