Local beef producers may request brucellosis vaccinations from heifers' hoods aged 4 to 12 months to apply to the Franklin County Extension Service. On-farm vaccinations will be available at the county level in cooperation with a

vaccinator from the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission. The Agriculture Division of the University of Arkansas is an institution of equal opportunity, equal access and positive action. The extension service will schedule a visit on Friday, April 26, 2019 to vaccinate the calves. Calves must be parked and ready. Corrals and adequate work facilities are needed and producers must be present during vaccination procedures.

To register for the program, call the extension office at (479) 667-3720 or send a message to (479) 209-2418 no later than Wednesday, April 24. Information on the number of animals, the location of the farm and phone numbers are required. The service or visit is free.

Producers will be contacted about the schedule of phone stops.
