Van den Berg keeps his debut in Liverpool

Sepp van den Berg was forced to sit Thursday night in Liverpool's first win against Tranmere.

The 17-year-old left PEC Zwolle last month in Liverpool, but the transfer is still waiting for FIFA's green light.

For this reason, van den Berg was forced to sit while Liverpool hammered Tranmere 6-0.

Ki-Jana Hoever made an appearance in the second half, but Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum were both absent as they have not yet returned to training.

Van den Berg will have to wait for his debut, but there are still six friendlies to play against Bradford City, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, the Sporting Club of Portugal, Naples and Olympique Lyon before the start of the season.

Liverpool is a dream city that was won by a victory over Tranmere Rovers. Sepp van den Berg mocht niet meedoen. https://t.co/2XDyFP9I62
