Sepp van den Berg was forced to sit Thursday night in Liverpool's first win against Tranmere.
The 17-year-old left PEC Zwolle last month in Liverpool, but the transfer is still waiting for FIFA's green light.
For this reason, van den Berg was forced to sit while Liverpool hammered Tranmere 6-0.
Ki-Jana Hoever made an appearance in the second half, but Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum were both absent as they have not yet returned to training.
