GRIDCo Tower collapsed
The Tarkwa-Nsuaem MP urged the CID to speed up its investigations into the dismantling of the GRIDCo tower in Tema.
George Mireku Duker, who is also vice-chair of the Parliament's Committee on Mining and Energy, said that the conclusion of the investigations and the subsequent sanction of their authors would have a chilling effect on the other destroyers of the nation.
One of GRIDCo's transmission line towers in Tema, which was transmitting electricity from Karpower, VRA and AKSA to the national grid, was vandalized on Monday morning, collapsing on an adjacent tower.
The incident, which occurred around 1 am, caused interruptions in Accra, Western and Kumasi.
The incident is currently under investigation by the CID.
Speaking before Parliament last Friday, Mireku Duker condemned the unpatriotic action of the perpetrators of the act.
He called for security around all security facilities across the country.
"I think what has happened should sound like an alarm signal for our security agencies to reinforce the security around all the security installations in order to prevent further attacks," he said. -he declares.
Kwaku Agyeman Manu, Minister of Health and a participant in the statement, said the acts of the perpetrators were a serious threat to the country's security.
He called on security agencies to be serious about the issue and to manage it in order to avoid any future event.
The Speaker of Parliament, Professor Mike Ocquaye, instructed the Mines and Energy Committee to badist security agencies in finding a solution to the problem.
