Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia launched the 20th anniversary of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Confederation of Tertiary Education Students (TESCON) by calling on party youth to close their ranks and move forward. in the common goal unit.

The launch of the anniversary, which had the theme: "20 years of commitment without incentive – TESCON, our generational pillar", marked the pinnacle of a training seminar and of Two-day orientation organized on weekends at the University of Ghana's Legon campus.

Participants included regional youth organizers, state ministers, NPP MPs, party communicators and national party officials.

Tribute

Mr. Bawumia took the opportunity to pay tribute to the founders of TESCON, particularly a deputy chief of staff, Mr. Francis Asenso-Boakye, who would have been the founding president of the organization and said that the NPP rewarded young people for their good services.

To that end, he said, President Akufo-Addo had the opportunity to serve the country and therefore party members, including TESCON, must support him to make this happen.

Government Achievements

On the achievements of the government since he took the reins of governance, he said, the government led by President Akufo-Addo was building a modern society rooted in modernization and scanning.

He listed a number of initiatives taken by the Government in the creation of offices, such as the issuance of national identity cards, the digital address system, the clearance system for paperless goods in ports and the introduction of digital licensing.

The vice president also raised, among other initiatives, the digitization of the cadastre, the interoperability of mobile money, the 50% reduction in import duties, the introduction of NABCO and, above all, the search for macroeconomic stability to ensure inclusion and the establishment of the building blocks of a modern society.
