Veep leaves for Cuba and Canada for official visits

Accra, July 17, GNA – Vice President Dr
Mahamudu Bawumia left Accra for Havana, Cuba, for a two-day official visit.

A statement from the vice office
The President stated that Dr. Bawumia will be the special honor guest at graduation
ceremony of 232 Ghanaian doctors trained at the University of Medical Sciences,
Cuba.

He will also have talks with the president
from Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel; Vice President of Cuba, Salvador Valdes Mesa
and other senior officials of the Cuban government and observe a commemorative wreath
Spawning Ceremony at African Heroes Park.

Vice President Bawumia will leave Havana on
Saturday, July 20, Vancouver, Canada, will lead the Ghanaian delegation during an exchange
Investment Mission, organized by the High Commission of Ghana, in
collaboration with the Canada-Africa Strategic Investment Group Inc.

Dr. Bawumia will also give a lecture at
Simon Fraser University, BC, and interact with Ghanaian
Community in Vancouver.

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia returns to
Accra on Wednesday, July 24th.

In his absence, the Speaker of Parliament,
The Right Honorable Professor Aaron Mike Ocquaye must, in accordance with
60 (11) of the Constitution, replaces him until the arrival of the President
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Thursday, July 18th.
