Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia left the country on Wednesday at the invitation of two major business universities in the United States.
He will be the keynote speaker at the annual Columbia University Economic Forum in New York, as well as the Emerging Markets Summit at Booth Business School at Chicago University in 2019.
While in the United States, Bawumia will also travel to Dallas, Texas, to talk to the Ghanaian community.
Last month, the Vice President was the inspirational speaker at the 2019 Humanities and Law Graduation Ceremony at Buckingham University.
He graduated with honors in economics from the same university in 1987.
Dr. Bawumia is expected to return to Accra on Tuesday.
