I am deeply saddened to learn of the death of Major-General Francis Vib-Sanziri, Chief of Mission and Force Commander of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) on the Golan Heights. .
The last time I met him, it was during my visit to Ghanaian troops in Lebanon last year. I knew little, when I said goodbye, that it would be the last time I would see him alive.
The leadership of Maj.Gen.Vib-Sanziri, his dedication and his positive attitude towards work and life will be missed.
My sincere condolences to his family.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
