Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia escaped unharmed from a road accident last Saturday.
Dr. Gideon Boako, his spokesperson, said that the incident occurred on the Takoradi-Cape Coast road at about 18:30. when the vice president came back from an official mission in the western region.
The driver of a utility vehicle involved in the accident unfortunately pbaded away.
He said other pbadengers and injured security personnel had been transferred to the Cape Coast Regional Hospital and were undergoing treatment.
The statement adds that the Vice-President's thoughts and prayers go to the wounded and the family of the deceased.
