Former MUSIGA President Alhaji Sidiku Buari revealed that video making has started in Ghana, but Ghanaians have unfortunately left it to Nigerians to make better use of it.
Speaking to Reverend Erskine on Y107.9FM’s YLeaderboard series, he said: “Unfortunately a lot of people don’t know this but it started from here and the Nigerians took us because they have to good gadgets and they pay their artists well compared to Ghana where they only pay you a few cedis and always expect the best from you ”.
He stressed that we are not doing things the right way as expected and that it is high time to get it right.
“We started it here in Ghana and we should be able to improve it. The Nigerians have passed us because they had all the facilities and they have people who went to university to be trained only for this purpose so that they know what they are doing ”.
He pointed out that we still have a lot of talent in the country but unfortunately they are not being paid what they deserve making it difficult for them to deliver what we expect from them.
“This is why most of them go to Nigeria to feature in their films, so it is very important for us to establish ourselves well, get the necessary facilities and improve our industry for ourselves and our people. artists, ”he said.
