The Ghanaian parliament reads for the third time on Monday and adopted the draft law on Vigilance and Related Offenses 2019.
The bill should, among other things, reduce acts of political violence and rid the country's political body of resentment.
The bill was tabled following a disagreement on the part of the minority in Parliament and the National Democratic Congress, that a bipartisan commitment that was then initiated was the way forward.
Despite this, the bill was pbaded.
The leader of the majority, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, had, prior to approval, asked the President to have the memorandum amended in the bill.
Deputy Attorney General Joseph Kpemka applauded the pbadage that describes it as a product of consensus.
