Virgin Media has partnered with Persimmon Homes to help create thousands of homes using fiber broadband.

Certain new Persimmon constructions in wired areas will be built with integrated access to Virgin Media fiber connections.

As part of the deal, Persimmon Exhibit Foci will promote Virgin Media products, including ISP’s “super-fast” 50 Mbps broadband.

Buyers will be able to create their own personalized home communications setups to suit their needs.

“Virgin Media’s partnership with Persimmon Homes can take some of the stress out of setting up home and allow more people to take advantage of our next-generation services from the moment they move in,” said Steve Carlin, Director of Sales of Virgin Media for a new construction.

“We all want to be able to watch, share and access our entertainment at home and Virgin Media’s services really help customers get the most out of their technology.”

Virgin Media is currently expanding its fiber network and has announced that it will soon offer service to 500,000 additional premises.

BT, meanwhile, has signed an agreement with Avanti to help support the deployment of broadband services in Cornwall via a recently launched satellite.

The five-year contract, worth an estimated 1.2 million, will also cover different parts of the UK.

The UK was recently ranked 24th for broadband value, with Hong Kong in first place.
