The Board of the Minerals Commission, headed by President Samson Kwaku Boafo, paid a courtesy visit to Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
The visit was to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his royal highness as king of the Asante kingdom.
S.K. Boafo commended Asantehene for his immense and diverse contributions to the peace, unity and socio-economic development of Asanteman and Ghana as a whole.
The delegation presented Assantehene with cash and beverages in support of its 20th anniversary.
Asantehene, by his linguist, congratulated the Minerals Commission for its continued collaboration with the Asante Kingdom and the growth of the nation.
Addressing the media after the presentation, Mr. Boafo congratulated Mr. Otumfuo for his exemplary leadership.
He said that "good works must be appreciated and he urged other leaders of the country to stand out and become sources of development for their communities.
