Vodafone launches Red iPhone Forever Plan: here's how it compares to Airtel's offers on iPhones

NEW DELHI: The country's largest telecommunications operator, Vodafone, has put in place a new plan for its postpaid users. Called RED iPhone Forever plan, the monthly Rs 649 plan is specifically aimed at iPhone users across the country. In addition to the benefits of data and telephony, the plan also offers an "iPhone Forever Program" where postpaid users of Vodafone will benefit from an iPhone replacement and upgrade.

The Vodafone RED iPhone Forever Rs 649 package offers unlimited local and national calls with 90 GB of data per month. The data is also provided with the failover function. This means that unused data will be carried over to next month. In addition to the above benefits, subscribers will also have free access to Vodafone Play and a 12-month annual subscription to Amazon Prime.

Vodafone iPhone Forever terms and conditions

The iPhone Forever program from Vodafone covers the iPhone 5s and later models. IPhone modes less than 18 months old can be replaced, upgraded and redeemed under the program. On the other hand, iPhone models older than 18 months are only eligible for an upgrade and a repair.

The iPhone program also covers accidental, physical and liquid damage. Users must pay 2,000 rupees in the event of a claim for processing fees. Users can also download the iPhone Forever app on their iPhone in order to take advantage of the offer.

Users who choose to upgrade their iPhone as part of this plan will have to pay the incremental cost for the new iPhone. The incremental cost is the cost of the new iPhone minus the value of the old iPhone.

The same plan is also available for Idea iPhone users. For Idea users, the plan is called postpaid plan Nirvana Rs 649.

Airtel redemption plan by Airtel

Airtel, the rival of Vodafone, offers packages to its subscribers. As part of the Airtel iPhone program, customers who buy the iPhone XR and iPhone X will receive the package of 3,399 rupees from the phone company. Airtel's plan Rs 3,499 offers unlimited local and national calls and a total of 100 GB of data. Along with this, the plan also covers the handset's monthly EMI and provides coverage for accidental damage. Airtel customers will also receive a free annual subscription for Amazon Prime and a 3 month subscription to Netflix as part of the plan.
