Volta Division should not split the vote – NDC | Policy

James Gunu, regional secretary of the Volta's National Democratic Congress (CND), called on party members in the region not to let the division of the region affect the party's fortunes.

Mr. Gunu was responding to a petition he had received on behalf of the party's functional executive committee from some party activists, requesting that Mr. John Kwadwo Gyapong, president of the Volta Regional Party, be rebadigned to the party. the region of Oti, where he would vote.

The regional secretary said the party had allowed officials to choose the area to serve and that the president's decision to serve in the Volta region should not divide the party.

He said the NDC had a lot of activities on its schedule to capture power in 2020 and needed unity of purpose for 2020.
Mr. Gunu badured the petitioners that their grievances would be addressed and asked them to focus their efforts on the resumption of power for the Party.

Mr. Joshua Edem Tetteh, head of the organization, Volta NDC Grbadroots, said that it had become important for the party's regional chairman, Mr. Gyapong, to settle in the region. Oti, because that is where his branch was (Akan constituency).

According to the provisions of the party constitution, party officials should have a branch in the region, which he alleged that Mr. Gyapong did not currently own in the Volta region.
