The Volta Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) congratulated Mr. Gorvens Kwame Agbodza, MP (MP) for Adaklu, and Mr. Bernard Ahiafor, MP for Akatsi South, for their excellent performance.
The two MPs won the award for best overall MP and best minority MP, respectively for the year 2020 in a survey by the FAKS Investigative Service.
A statement signed by Mr. James Gunu, the Party’s regional secretary and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said that “the FAKS investigative service, on January 10, 2021, awarded unprecedented prizes to these honorable sons of the Volta region. ”
“The Volta region is proud of you for these remarkable and well-deserved achievements. Your excellent performance has placed the region on a high pedestal in Ghana and beyond.
According to a report by FAKS Investigative Services, a Ghanaian research institute, after reviewing data from the 2020 edition of the survey, Mr. Agbodza was the best MP Mr. Ahiafor was the best minority MP.
The survey is conducted annually to assess the performance of ministers, deputy ministers, regional ministers, MPs and CEOs (CEOs) of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) across the country.
The project initiatives, their executions and the impacts that these projects had or would have on all Ghanaians were the focus of the investigation.
Respondents to this survey were mainly traditional leaders, business leaders, journalists, students, small traders, business owners, civil society organizations (CSOs), market women, academics and others. .
Mr Gunu said it was worth noting that Mr Agbodza had retained the best overall deputy award for 2020, having won it for 2019.
He said Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, won the Best Minority MP award for 2019, but this time won by the Hon. Bernard Ahiafor, deputy for the constituency of Akatsi Sud in 2020.
