President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday urged Nigerians to vote as they wished in the presidential election.

Buhari expressed confidence in saying that he was not afraid to go to the polls.

President Buhari spoke at the All Progressive Congress (APC) emergency caucus meeting at the party's secretariat in Abuja on Monday.

Buhari said, "We will not be blamed for trying to rig the elections. I want Nigerians to be respected. Let them vote as they see fit, in all parties. I'm not scared, I went to all 36 states and Abuja and I think I have enough support all over the country. "

He urged all supporters of the APC to vote peacefully in the upcoming elections.

"We have so much to do, and I think we should again call on our loyal and committed members in all ridings. If anything happens, we have no one to blame.

"We must tell our constituents that they must be patient and act in a very responsible way by voting peacefully again, and that they must depend on party representatives in each of the 176,000 voting units" , did he declare.
