Voter registration limited: EC is on the right track – Evans Nimako | Policy

Director of elections of the new patriotic party [NPP]Evans Nimako said that the idea of ​​the Electoral Commission to make a new restricted registration of voters was commendable despite the opposition NDC's objection.

For him, the decision is not wrong, but his party will not hesitate to ask the court for further clarification if the need makes it felt.

"For the moment, there is nothing wrong, they are on the right track", he said in an interview with NEAT FM morning show 'Ghana Montie'.

The Electoral Commission said that a new register of voters would be established before the presidential and legislative elections of 2020.

The commission said it currently inspects the offices of political parties, according to a press release issued after an Inter-party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting.

But, the National Democratic Congress [NDC] plans to file a complaint to prevent the Electoral Commission from creating a new voters register for the 2020 elections, revealed a member of the NDC legal team, Abraham Amaliba.
