Just like Mercedes' newest cars, ID.3 will apparently have natural language voice commands to handle common tasks. You can say "Hello, ID", mentioning that you are cold and that your car is going to heat up. There is no detailed demonstration of functionality, but it's promising if you hate reaching out to change AC power or make a phone call.
VW has quickly pulled the clip from its own channels, but we are not moving away a quick return. The promotional video still shows the outside of the ID.3 wrapped in the neon camouflage used to launch the car in recent months. It would not be surprising that the video aims to create hype over the last few weeks before the official revelation of ID.3 at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. At the very least, this suggests that VW's first EV from scratch will give the brand a fresh feel, if not out of step with what you get from rivals.
