The performance of the certification examination (BECE) in the municipality of Wa has increased
from 46% in 2016/2017 to 75.7% in 2017 /

This, Alhaji Tahiru Issahaku Moomin, the Wa
Director General (MCE), said that this was due to the priority given to
education by the central government and the municipal badembly, which

Alhaji Moomin, who was speaking during the
first edition of the series "Meet the Press" for Municipal and
District Assemblies of the Upper West Region, noted that investing in quality

basic education with the sole purpose of ensuring that students in
municipality excels in the examination of the Certificate of Basic Education (BECE)
that they can take advantage of the free high school program ", the MCE

relations between the media and the Assembly in order to better educate and inform the
citizens of the municipality on the implementation of government policies and
programs.

The MCE stated that the Assembly would present a
project called "A pupil, a dictionary" which has so far seen the
distribution of 7000 dictionaries to primary school pupils in
School year 2017/2018.

Alhaji Moomin said the remarkable
achievements in the field of education has not only motivated students
