The West Africa Examination Board (WAEC) released on Monday the provisional results of 133,986 candidates who pbaded the West African Graduation Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private candidates, 2018.
The entire results of 2,160 applicants who allegedly were involved in various examination-related irregularities were disclosed pending the conclusion of the case investigations.
A statement signed by Ms. Agnes Teye-Cudhoe, Deputy Director of Public Affairs of the WAEC National Office, with a copy to the Ghana Press Agency in Accra, explained that the undisclosed results would be published as soon as the Council closed its meetings. surveys.
WAEC therefore asks applicants to access their results online at: www.waecgh.org.
The Council also urged members of the public to be wary of the activities of fraudsters who contact candidates with the promise of improving their results for a fee payable via mobile money transfers.
"Members of the public are badured that the Board's results database is secure. As such, all counterfeit results can be detected by the confirmation / verification system.
"Institutions and organizations are invited to confirm or verify the results submitted directly to the Council or to access the online confirmation / verification service on the WAEC website," the statement added.
