Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso
Ghana's quest to win the African Cup for the first time since 1982 could end in Egypt in June if the team was impregnated with quality and Wakaso demanded the inclusion of Kevin Prince Boateng in the tournament team.
Boateng, who recently joined the Spanish giants, Barcelona has experienced a period of steady regularity, ranging from his days in Las Palmas to Eintracht Frankfurt and Sbaduolo.
His recent career earned him a contract in Barcelona in January of this year.
Thanks to his experience and hard work, Deportivo Alaves midfielder Mubarak Wakaso believes that Ghana will need the attacking midfielder to win the CAN trophy.
"We need him. This is the type of player we need. To be honest, for me, he has to come. We need this type of players in the team. We need his experience, quality and determination, "Wakaso told FootballMadeInGhana.com
"We really need him. I can not talk about it too much but we need him.
"In the last two years he has been phenomenal and, as we can see, he has been a different player. He has become as before, "he added.
Kevin Prince Boateng, Sulley Muntari was sent off from the Black Stars camp at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil for acts of insubordination.
Sulley Muntari has since apologized for his actions following a directive by the presidential commission of inquiry set up to investigate Ghana's poor performance at the World Cup.
Kevin's return to the team, however, is based on his apology to the entire nation by the Commission.
