CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN reportedly rejected a move to Manchester United.
It is understood that the Old Trafford club has advanced to sign the Tottenham star.
But according to journalist Tom McDermott, the Danish international and his team have clearly expressed their "no". Instead, Eriksen, 27, would prefer to go to Spain.
Real Madrid and Barcelona have both been badociated with potential attempts to sign him this summer after another great season under Mauricio Pochettino.
His contract expires in 12 months and he openly admitted that he might be tempted to "try something new".
The finalist of the Champions League told the Danish magazine Ekstra Bladet: "I have the impression of being at a place in my career where I might want to try something new.
"I have the most savage and deepest respect for everything that has happened in Tottenham. "But I also said that I would like to try something new.
"I hope that there will be clarifications during the summer, that 's the plan.
