Caroline Polachek gave a touching performance of ‘Breathless’ on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Appearing on Thursday night’s talk show (March 4), Polachek’s “Breathless” is a cover of the Corrs’ 2000 single. His studio version – released last December – will be featured as a bonus on the upcoming vinyl album “Standing At The Gate: Remix Collection”, which will be released on April 16 via his own label, Perpetual Novice.

“ Standing At The Gate: Remix Collection ” will feature further reworking of tracks from Polachek’s acclaimed 2019 LP, “ Pang. ”
The AG Cool remix of ‘So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings’ will also appear on the album, along with a Toro y Moi reimagining of ‘Hit Me Where It Hurts’, starring Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno.
Remixes of George Clanton, Oklou and umru will also be included.
In December, Polachek reworked “So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings” to become a special message for Santa Claus, “So Cold You’re Hurting My Feelings”.
Also in 2020, Polachek released an instrumental version of “Pang”. During its exclusive release at Bandcamp, Polachek took to social media to explain that the stripped-down edition was intended “for karaoke / cover / singing in the shower / editing pleasure”.
