It all starts with a fuss
James Blake shared the official video of his latest single, Mile High, to discover below.
The title, from the fourth album of the musician "Assume Form", presents Travis Scott, with an additional production of Metro Boomin.
After its release last month, the surreal video of the song was unveiled.
The clip sees Scott and Blake meet at the Mile High Cafe before he stops concentrating and begins to hallucinate while he waves his tea. The pair then falls into a dark world where they perform the single. In the end, we return to the real world where Blake is sitting motionless at the coffee table.
The video was directed by Nabil, who previously directed the visuals of Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Bon Iver, Frank Ocean, etc.
James Blake is scheduled to present three live concerts in the UK this spring to support 'Assume Form'. See the full dates of the tour below.
April
7 – Manchester, O2 Victoria Warehouse
9 – Bristol, O2 Academy
18 – London, Eventim Apollo
Meanwhile, Blake recently discussed the impact that a tour's life can have on a musician's mental health.
"There are a lot of musicians who are starting out now who may not be aware of the pitfalls of the tour and the pitfalls of a musician's life," he explained. "Mental health on the road is a problem that has usually taken until this generation to really care about the situation.
"I think we've seen the effects of the artist's life on previous generations, and I think we're just starting to say:" I should not maybe use these methods to to face, maybe I should talk to someone. "
