Pete Davidson has made all kinds of jokes about his former Ariana Grade lately (see: labeling him an "evil genius" and calling him for, uh, getting soaked in his junk), but last night, when it is broadcast Saturday Night Live, Pete chose to make fun of something very different.
In a skit with comedian John Mulaney, Pete decided to joke about his sanity and the alarming message he shared last month about not wanting to live anymore.
Pete started the debate by saying, "As you know, I've had a really crazy month and I want to talk about something that matters a lot." Someone asks: "Mental health?" and Pete replies, "The new Clint Eastwood film, The mule. "
And later in the sketch, John says, "I spent time with Pete trying to show him that you can have a life in the comedy that is not crazy, a sober domestic life." And Pete jokes, "Yes, and after watching John's life, I've publicly threatened to commit suicide … I'm sorry, I should not be making this joke." It's funny, though. " John responds by saying, "Pete looks me in the eye, many love you, and we are happy that you are well."
And of course, being Pete, he also had to mention Ariana in the sketch. This time, while the drawing was almost finished, Pete proclaimed, "I did not mention it once!" Which, sorry Pete, is worth it …
