The first look at the highly anticipated return of Selena Gomez's film has just been released this afternoon. Gomez shared the first teaser trailer for The dead do not die, the zombie comedy she's toured with Austin Butler, Luka Sabbat, Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton and Chloë Sevigny last summer in upstate New York State. "Jim Jarmusch's new movie, June 14. I can not wait, #TheDeadDontDie," she wrote in her Instagram post.
Gomez also shared the official movie poster about his Instagram story shortly before sharing the teaser:

According to the filmed images, it seems that Gomez plays a worried young woman whose city is suddenly invaded by a zombie uprising. Her character, Zoe, seems to be the type of horror movie heroine who takes the epidemic more seriously than other people who surround her. As it is only a teaser, in anticipation of the release of the film in June, the glimpses of the character of Gomez are relatively limited. But what seems clear is that even if the movie contains horror elements, it remains a comedy – so, anything but your usual horror movie:
Gomez has not yet been able to say much about his role. Last August, she shared some personal photos of her time on the set, as well as photos of herself at a dinner in the area. She has subtitled this series of images "randoms and film".
Gomez's involvement in the film was initially confirmed when paparazzi photographed him on the set last summer. It's been Gomez's first film role since she played the role of Lisa in the historical film In dubious battle in 2016.
