Sergio Ramos imposed a sublime penalty on Panenka to allow Spain to beat Norway 2-1 and begin their European qualifying with a win.

The defender converted his shot into a corner after waiting for goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to be restored before throwing the ball in the middle of the court in the 71st minute at Valencia's Mestalla Stadium.

Spain dominated the first period but only Rodrigo was able to convert his chances of scoring in the 16th minute.

Norway equalized 25 minutes from the end, when Bournemouth striker Joshua King scored the goal after Bjorn Johnsen, the substitute, was fouled on Inigo Martinez.
