The twilight zone is our favorite Super Bowl caravan this year. Fingers in the nose.
It sounds like part of the Super Bowl itself, but then Jim Nantz's footage and voice disappear – the advantage, I guess, that the Super Bowl is broadcast on CBS and your show goes on CBS All Access. Then all the people in the stadium disappear. Then Jordan Peele discusses – in a very close voice to Rod Serling, creator and host of the original blurred area. Then there are several Peeles; walk on the ground and sit in the stands.
There is a vertigo effect of the rotating spindle on the dashboard. And a door, of course. There was always a door in the opening credits of The twilight zone. As:
Peele goes through the door and disappears and we finally get that clbadic themed music – and the clbadic logo, which is fun to see as well. This is a very effective way to create the atmosphere of the new series – which will begin with a first season of 10 episodes featuring actors such as Adam Scott, John Cho, Sanaa Lathan, Jacob Tremblay, Greg Kinnear, Steven Yeun and Kumail Nanjiani.
Hoping that this new series is a place full of shadow and substance, things and ideas. If not, I will be so disappointed. The twilight zone with host Jordan Peele premiered on CBS All Access on April 1st.
