Watch the first terrifying trailer of AMC's new horror series, NOS4A2

AMC released the first trailer of the new adaptation of Joe Hill's horror novel, NOS4A2. The network also announced that the series would be created in parallel with the next season of Fear the undead June 2, 2019.

First published in 2013 NOS4A2 follows the story of Victoria "Vic" McQueen (played by Ashleigh Cummings in the series), who discovers that she has a supernatural ability to find lost items while crossing her bike on a strange bridge. She meets a man called Charlie Manx (played by Zachary Quinto), who kidnaps children to take them to a supernatural place called Christmasland, where he feeds on their soul and corrupts it. Vic was the only child to ever meet Manx and escape, and these experiences haunted him later in life. A year later, Manx found a new child to flee to Christmas: his son.

AMC debuted in the trailer earlier in the day and screened the first episode of the series to the public of Wondercon in Anaheim, California. The trailer is as scary as you'd like, showing Quinto's Manx and his 1938 Rolls-Royce Wraith (the title of the story comes from his courtesy plate) while he's trying to kidnap children, while Vic promises to destroy him and destroy his world.

In 2017, Hill said The edge that he saw the novel as "a horror story of horror stories of how he is a horror story that tells stories of horror. AMC announced that year that it was developing the project with a goal of direct recovery in the series and took over the series last year.

NOS4A2 is not the only project based on Hill's work being adapted. Last year, Netflix took over the comics series that he created with Gabriel Rodriguez, Locke & Key. The streaming service will also release a film adaptation of In the tall grbadhe wrote with his father, Stephen King, during the year, while Sudder's anthology series Horror show will feature an adaptation of his new "At the Silver Waters of Lake Champlain" later in the year. In addition to all this, Hill will publish a collection of news, Full gas later this fall, with a novel, The chimney down, in 2020.
