Heavy rains anchor a thick scene in "The Highwaymen", a look at the story of Bonnie and Clyde from the perspective of lawmakers who tracked them down. Kevin Costner plays Frank Hamer and Woody Harrelson plays Maney Gault, two former Texas Rangers out of retirement to chase the notorious criminals. Here, the two men fall on the body of a murdered convict that they had released on parole to help them in their searches. Director John Lee Hanbad staged the scene on a rainy night (using rain machines) and captured the characters mostly in silhouette to visibly reflect the damage caused by this work.
