At the last meeting of the IAAF Diamond League in Morocco, Genzebe Dibaba set the fastest time of the year in the women's 1500m. Dibaba put the world in the lead with a time of 3:55:47. Sergey Shubenkov fell for the win after being beaten by Jamaican world champion and Olympic champion Omar McLeod. Shubenkov tied the meeting record of 13.12 seconds. In the last Red Bull Air race, Yoshihide Muroya won his second consecutive victory of the season in Kazan.
