Mini Mansions shared a video for his new song 'Hey Lover' starring Alison Mosshart of The Kills.
The song follows their recent single "Gummy Bear," released earlier this year. Both titles will appear on the band's third album, "Guy Walks Into A Bar" …
In the video, Mosshart and singer Michael Shuman call each other in separate rooms – him from a studio and she from a living room or bedroom. Keyboardist Tyler Parkford and bbadist Zach Dawes also make short appearances in the studio. Watch the video below now.
In a press release, Mosshart said about his work with the group: "I like collaborating with groups that I love, dive and explore the work of another artist. When Mikey sent me "Hey Lover" and asked me if I wanted to sing on it, I was really happy. From the first listen, I wanted to hear it again and again. What I like about this song is that I had this realistic lyric conversation several times. We have all had this conversation many times. But it has never been so beautiful. It's usually a punk gutter song. Many screaming and breaking things. The Mini Mansions make the criminal game elegant. "
She added, "What a modern music video / old school, you know? My role in this video took about an hour (modern), 2 cigarettes and half a bottle of wine (old school). I am quite happy with the results. "
Mini Mansions is expected to release "Guy Walks Into A Bar …" on July 26 via Fiction Records. Before its release, they will embark on a tour of the UK and festivals. The member of the group of Shuman, Queens Of The Stone Age, Jon Theodore, will join them on the drums for the dates of concerts.
