Iggy Pop has released a new animated video for his song 'Run Like A Villain', which should appear in the next reissue of his cult clbadic, Zombie Birdhouse. You can check it below.

The video for the last godfather of punk is led by Polish artist Marta Kacprzak from Motion Picture Stories and follows the release of "The Villagers" / "Pain and Suffering" for this year's Record Store Day.

'Run Like A Villain' is one of the key tracks of Zombie Birdhouse, due out on June 28th. The album is described as an "intoxicating preparation of drones, afro rhythms and free lyrics," according to his press release. The album was Iggy's 6th solo album and "represents him at his best while freewheeling".

It will be released officially on vinyl and CD for the first time since the original release of Chris Stein on Animal Records in 1982.

The next reissue of Zombie Birdhouse was remastered by Paschal Byrne at The Audio Archive, London. It contains Irvine Welsh sleeve notes as well as rare original photographs by Esther Friedman.

Zombie Birdhouse also contains an unpublished version of 'Pain and Suffering', which contains the voices of Debbie Harry de Blondie. Originally recorded for a feature-length animation Rock & Rule, who saw Iggy provide the voice of the monster De Another Dimension and Harry the voice of the character of Angel, she never surfaced because the soundtrack of the film has never been broadcast.

As uDiscover Music recently reportedIggy Pop also announced the release of a new lyrics collection this fall. The book, called "It's bad, it's okay., will contain lyrics from more than 100 Iggy Pop songs as well as photos, memorabilia, unpublished notes and essays written by Iggy himself.

The book will be published on September 26 by Viking Books in hardcover color, the launch coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the first self-titled album of The Stooges.
