At the end of the project, the site engineer announced the construction of a number of recreational facilities at the Odaw River site as part of the Lower Korle Lagoon Redevelopment Project, and urged riparian residents of the river to give up waste. the river because it made the dredging process quite difficult.

Wise Ametefe added that dredging would be done at Caprice, Avenor and Agbogbloshie, all in Accra, as well as in Korle Lagoon.

At the junction of the Kaneshie 1st Light, where a priority storm sewer is being built, project leader George Asiedu told the president that this 630-meter-long storm sewer would help stop the persistent floods that occur in Kaneshie and its surroundings. .

"It is comforting to note that after the heavy rain on Monday, there was no flooding in and around Kaneshie, even though the work was not completed. The project should have been completed by April 15, but it must be completed by June this year, "said Asiedu.

Currently, some 21 dredging and unloading works are underway in Greater Accra. These include work in progress at South Kaneshie, Sukura-Mampon, Mataheko, Kaneshie Highway, St Mary's at Korle Gonno, Calypso Drain at Kpone Katamanso, Awudome, Kwashie Bu, Basel Down Stream, Castle Drain at Klottey Lagoon and Agbogbloshie .

The others are located in Avenor (Kofi Krom), North Kaneshie (CMB apartments), Amasaman Market Drain, Dansoman (Ave Maria), Opete Kwei (Lambros), Chemu Channel, Tetegu, SCC Junction, in Muss (Ofankor) and Shiabu-Glefe. .

In addition, 11 storm drains are currently under construction at Odawna, Abeka, Kaneshie, Madina Maye Hot, Gbawe Drain, Awoshie Mangoase, Sukura Mampon, Haatso, Morton International School, Awudome Down Stream and North Industrial Area.
