"Yes, I agree with the results. I agree with the results because what we are waiting for is what we got. John Mahama did a lot in Ghana and even in Odododiodio himself, John Mahama did a lot of work here. So we are witnessing what he's done here and that's why people voted for him overwhelmingly, "he told GhanaWeb.

Former President John Mahama becoming the winner with 1,405 votes, the second vice speaker of Parliament, Alban Kingsford Sumani Bagbin, got 4 votes, businessman Alhaji Nurudeen Iddrisu voted to 2 votes, former NHIS president, Sylvester Mensah, 4, Dr. Ekow Spio-Garbrah had 2, Goosie Tanoh interviewed 13 people while Professor Joshua Alabi was 16.
Paul Oblie Laryea, president of his constituency, said his constituency had begun organizing youth sections, market women and political parties to support Mahama.
He added that the current NPP government should be removed from office because it only exacerbated the hardships of Ghanaians with high unemployment, Cedi depreciation and high fuel costs.
He said, "… All that people expect, that's what happens. People do not work, people say that the price of fuel is too high, people say that the cedi works too fast. Their main campaign is about money, as Dr. Bawumia said. He always complains about money. And that was the main fall of the NDC. But today, people have seen where the dollar flows. "
