In a June ruling, the court chaired by Judge Ruby Aryeetey struck out on the grounds that the date for the protest (May 9) had already passed and there was therefore no protest to stop.
“I am of the opinion that the planned demonstration is adopted and therefore the request is moot,” she ruled.
She said, however, that in the event that #FixTheCountry protesters wanted to start a new protest, they had to go through all procedures, including those relating to restrictions on public gatherings.
