A former educator defends a radical change in the administration of Ghanaian schools.

Mr. Haffar believes that the state should invest in qualified managers, able to run schools, instead of relying on teachers who do not necessarily possess the required leadership abilities.

Heads not well trained?

The minister added that some directors are doing well in school management, but their lack of training prevents them from having the corresponding performance data.

He gave an example in which he had gone to a school where the director was retiring and some people had asked him not to grant an extension because he was their worst leader.

But after referring to the performance data of the director in question, Dr. Adutwum said that he had discovered that this guy was actually the best chef in the school. have increased the school's success rate from 12% to over 40%.
