We played Watch Dogs Legion with Big Brother behind (and we did not listen too much)

I never realized that London was so popular – until I knew it myself. At that time, the presentation of Skyrim could call a trick. In the morning, there, in the evening, an hour killed by London taxis, but still enough to start a beautiful friendship. Or rather rowdy: London is one of the most expensive cities in the world and its problems are accelerated by Brexit overhead costs. An ideal place to live? Certainly not. An ideal venue for an open city event?

An hour-long presentation of the new Legion Watch Dogs tried to convince us of that. The rest of the series, in which the counterculture of hacker and the commercialism and conformity of the big studio merge strangely, has surprised the radical premise. Playing for someone on the street, really? Perhaps even for the disbelief that the announcement of the Legion caused, she offered presentations as well as personal tests. Generous forty-five minutes with the driver, and we say that we can, as we want? Come on, fascism will not go down.

For the hand

Britain has been in the fictitious world of Legion for some time behind the Brexit, and no one is looking at events that surprise the ensuing surprise. As the isolated economy became more and more in trouble, the populists, fomenting the hatred of the usual targets of island fascism, came to power. Everything that is extraterrestrial, all that is different can be plunged back into the shadow of daily oppression. It remains to be seen how much they dared to embark on heated parallels with Ubisoft's global events.

The question that three quarters of the time of the game itself did not have time to answer – even because one of the developers was behind my back and was pushing in a pbadive-aggressive way, I could not choose me -even. Let's have the whole demo just for me, I would probably go to the Temple, in my favorite Templar church, or to Camden, where we went later, but certainly not as I had chosen.

Rather than determining the destinations, however, constant comments such as "trying to hack there" or "using this now" have bothered me wildly. This is a reproach to the surveillance hat, but a eulogy of the game: The Legion is full of opportunities and places to reach to achieve the goal. You already know this offer of previous episodes, but Legion multiplies it by the announced main draw, that is to say recruit anybody in his revolutionary party.

This is precisely why the hood is navigating me immediately and requires me to choose characters that I would not even watch while driving. In the body of a friendly young man, we jump quickly into Seladon's coat, very "clbady", and guess that, in his free time, he writes badist instructions on women's conditioning and that's it. he does not even raise a seat at home. By pressing the left bumper, I immediately discover that this selector is looking for good cigars and that his aunt is overwhelmed by the debts of the lenders. The digital imprint, well known since the first Watch Dogs, takes another dimension, because the game draws the talents and the bonuses of each character for the different activities that you realize thereafter.

Fortunately, Seladon is only waiting for a conspiracy meeting on the banks of the Thames, under which the developer emphasizes the modularity of the divisional animations, which varies depending on the character you are taking. This explains it so violently that I can not hear what the conspirators appreciate, but what else – in one minute we are stuck in someone else 's body. Remember the grandma's action trailer? Mine, who calls Mae, will beat her.

Old age is green

With a dignified pensioner driving something after the Aston Martin bond, we hurry into the streets of London, where I'm still not used to driving left; sometimes a street lamp or a parked car is caught. The infiltration of Scotland Yard is waiting for us, inside the server room where we have to erase some data.

I look at the building from the outside, I would spend a few minutes thinking about the next step at home … But no, go right, hurry the spider robot to pbad the side door, rush to the # 39 … inside … he can uncheck another item from his list of things that manipulate me.

At least, I'll break the dictation by throwing a robot so that it stays hanging on the wall behind the portal in a way that the developer has not seen yet. And that's just the beginning. He surely did not see Maac pacify half of Scotland Yard! Many times, I have so little time until I feel like I should pull off my insistent supervision of the mess, but in the end, Mae is victorious in the armored car parking lot behind Scotland Yard, only leaving that trigger and the server hacked.

And now, baby, give me: I'm happy with this pbadage, certainly entertaining, but quite contrary to what is believed in a clumsy pensioner? On the contrary, I was surprised by the serious difficulty, which can of course be a demonstration for the general public. But I would not expect to go through a police seat like a lemon butter knife. But before I can bother with such thoughts, we are finally in Camden, which is exactly Camden, as I remember his many purchases on the local market. And even the famous Cyberdog cyberpunk is missing even though it bears another name.

Dystopian views

There is also poverty and dirt that has made the Camden futurist a den of vices. It is my duty to achieve three specific goals and this time it's ENDELLY at my discretion, exactly how. In my back, I feel that the developer minimizes the sponge and would like to attach me to a kid, but that certainly does not prevent me from enjoying the Camden for a while. the fence behind which my goals crawl.

Even this method has not been seen by any of the other journalists, which makes me think about the state of our industry, but, let's say: I have each of the three objectives in a different way, of course, there are various tips and tricks. tools, but especially the current character. (Mae was replaced by a flexible black young woman) I like to fight fairly. The last punch, the task accomplished, I can always jump into the next channel, around which I walked in the real London, the developer always mentions that, of course, he can board ships, then he run away.

Of course, forty-five minutes is an open world game, or some complex impressions of it, absurdly little. But it was enough to pay attention to the enthusiasm, reinforced by strict supervision behind the back, then to a natural mistrust of the superficial treatment of deeper subjects. With the budget of the game missed behind, the Legion could surely have a chance to play the equivalent of the Offspring movie, but do we really believe that at Ubisoft, they had dared to look at this uncompromising vision of the film? British future?

On the other hand, the demo itself surprised me. The switching between the characters recalls the movement of souls in Omikron: "The nomadic soul is a happy memory, because even here it opens the door to foreign privacy. In the context of the series, he inhales a new life into his already central theme. When Ubisoft announced the new Watch Dogs, I would not expect that other parts of their actions in the city would be so popular, until I try it myself -even.
