The Ghana Association of Journalists (GJA) said it would fight to repel various attacks on journalists in the line of duty.
According to the president of the badociation, Mr. Affail Monney, the attacks against journalists in the country are regrettable, adding that it is time that appropriate measures are taken to ensure the safety of journalists in the country.

Former General Manager of Graphic Communications Group and today General Manager of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications, Mr. Ken Ashigbey said that it was time for journalists to press the government for it to incite the authors who attack them to reserve for their authors rights.

He also urged journalists to unite in solidarity to resist attacks, adding that the GJA should set up complaint centers throughout the country so that journalists can deal with various problems related to attacks. and the ill-treatment inflicted on them in the exercise of their functions.
