Cynthia Morrison, Minister Responsible for Protection of the Status of Women and Social Welfare, revealed that the government would not allow foreigners to harm Ghanaian citizens in the name of maintaining good relations.
According to a Joy News report, Ms Morrison said that she will meet today with the Nigerian High Commissioner to explain how her outfit can help find the three girls kidnapped in Takoradi.
This comes after the police revealed the identity of the main suspect in the case as a Nigerian.
She revealed this during her visit to members of the family of three kidnapped Takoradi girls.
"This man does not come from Ghana, but from Nigeria, there are Ghanaians living in Nigeria and in other parts of Africa as well, so if we start talking badly about other countries, it may affect relations with them, but we will not allow strangers to injure strangers, us in our own country. "
"On Monday, I will meet the Nigerian High Commissioner in Ghana, explain to him what is going on and ask him what he is doing about it, and how his people can respect our laws, because when other laws in other countries, they will deal with us. "
