Bishop Kwofie with CAMP-G members
The Catholic Association of Media Professionals of Ghana (CAMP-G) is committed to supporting the activities and projects of Accra Metropolitan Archbishop John Bonaventure Kwofie.
According to the group, they will do everything in their power to make the voice of the Catholic Church in Ghana heard.
The group paid a courtesy call on the Archbishop to congratulate him on his appointment and his installation as Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra.
In its congratulatory message signed by its president, Ms. Victoria Lugey, the group stated that her appointment was intended to reinforce her love for humanity, especially the poor and vulnerable, in the world of the world. Evangelization, as well as his desire to continue the good works of his predecessors.
"We pray that the Christs of Accra will offer you the support and badistance necessary to defend the mission of evangelization of the Church. As we have done for your predecessors, we, members of CAMP-G, are always ready to align ourselves to promote your activities and your projects within the Archdiocese of Accra, reads in the press release.
CAMP-G also badured Archbishop Kwofie that the Christian faithful in Accra would offer him the support and badistance necessary to defend the mission of evangelization of the Church.
About CAMP-G
The Catholic Association of Media Practitioners of Ghana (CAMP-G) is a network of Catholic professionals working in various fields of communication in the country: print, electronic, computer, public relations, advertising, publishing, film production, press photography, universities.
CAMP-G was created in 2003 to replace the Catholic Journalists Guild. The name change was to open the door to the participation of all Catholics in the media under one umbrella to protect and defend the Church in Ghana.
The formation of CAMP-G was inspired by the recommendations of the decree of the Second Vatican Council, which urged lay people to play a leading role in the affairs of the Catholic Church. He also drew attention to the role of social communications as an effective tool in spreading the faith through the Inter Mirifica (Social Communications Instruments) Decree. The training was also guided by Chapter 12 of Articles 162 to 173 of the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana.
