Three firearms and 60 rounds of ammunition were stolen from the police station of the Kamorwon administration in Nandi South, while police on duty were attending a football match in the nearby mall on Tuesday night.
An unknown gang broke into the police station around 9:30 pm, when they found no policeman on the desk, as they had all been to attend the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal match between Barcelona and Manchester United.
The police returned to the police station a few minutes after midnight when they discovered that the main officer's room, which also serves as the armory, had been robbed.
