The weekly Weekend Boxing Night series returns tomorrow to James Town, Accra, while the youth and amateur fighters have the opportunity to face it.
The participants in the competition, who brought to light the budding talents of the various boxing gyms in Accra, are eager to delight the customers again.
According to the organizers of the event, set up by Allotei-Cofie Boxing Promotions in collaboration with the Gã Mashie Development Agency (GAMADA), there will be interesting couples that will give rise to interesting fights at night .
Herbert Allotei-Cofie, President and CEO of Allotei-Cofie Boxing Promotions, told the Daily Graphic that the competition was helping the Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation (GABF) and the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) to find and to educate boxers for the future.
Allotei-Cofie said his outfit was preparing boxers for the upcoming McDan sponsored boxing slugfest at the Asafotufiami Festival in Ada on Aug. 2, under the auspices of Graphic Sports, in collaboration with his team.
The McDan group is supporting the contest by transporting the young boxers from the project to Ada in August to participate in the celebration of the Asafotufiami festival.
"It's great to see these boxers speaking on the platform and tomorrow will not be an exception, as the pairs will give rise to good competitions.
"The competition is also gearing up for boxers at the upcoming Asafotufiami festival boxing party on August 2, where the fighting will be more difficult," said Allotei-Cofie.
Personalities like Ahmadu Mohammed, Moses Adjei, Samuel "Higher Thought", Samuel Mensah, Michael Antwi, Wisdom Barnor, Kelvin Amartey and Caleb Dadzie will compete for supremacy tomorrow.
At the same time, the Asafotufiami festival boxing evening was launched on July 4th at the Aqua Safari Beach Resort in Ada in order to make the sport known to the different communities.
