Musician, Wendy Shay
The director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) said that award-winning musician Wendy Shay remained an ambbadador for the agency despite the negative publicity that she had generated the week last during a visit of the leadership and ambbadadors of former President Kufuor.
Social media were inundated with images of Wendy Shay and ex-president Kufuor, in which she wore a dress that exhibited the middle section of her body and which allowed the former president of look at the exposed part of his body.
Critics have dropped heavily on his sitting posture.
Sammi Awuku, chairman of the board of the YEA, expressed deep disappointment at the viral images and said the kind of reactions that flooded social media was "not the kind of advertising and reaction that the YEA board of directors was waiting after the visit of the YEA ambbadadors and the leadership of the former Prez. Kufuor.
He urged the agency's management to ensure that ambbadadors remain at the highest level of professionalism during these courtesy calls, adding that those wishing to cooperate should be encouraged and welcomed and those wishing not meet these standards MUST be presented at the exit.
Wendy Shay as a result of the violent reaction offered an unqualified apology for her inappropriate dressing and promised to do better next time.
Rumor has it that the Child Justice Agency (YEA) has unloaded the "Uber Driver" killer from his role as ambbadador after the incident.
But in a message posted on his official Facebook page, YEA said, "Wendy Shay has not been sacked as YEA ambbadador."
