The director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in Ghana has denied reports that singer Wendy Shay was removed from her post as ambbadador.

It was reported Monday that Ghanaian Afropop and afrobeat singer had been sacked as the ambbadador of YEA as a result of her gaffe photo.

The reports were motivated by the omission of Wendy's name from the list of celebrities working for the AEA as ambbadadors.

On the list, Kwabena Anokye Adisi, journalist / CEO of the BEI Group / start-up consultant; Bryan Amoateng, pastor, author, life coach, entrepreneur, founder of the International Summit for the Empowerment of Youth (IYES), who is also president of Bryan Jones Outreach; Jackie Appiah, award-winning actress and entrepreneur; Bibi Bright – Actress, Entrepreneur, Humanitarian; Emelia Brobbey – Actress, trained teacher and journalist; Rebecca Donkor – CEO of MakeUp Ghana, Start-up Consultant, Founder / Director of Healthcare Management.

The media inferred that Wendy Shay had been abandoned following the viral broadcast on social media of a bady photo she had taken with former president John Agyekum Kufuor.

But in response to claims on his official Facebook page, YEA management said: "Wendy Shay has not been sacked as an ambbadador of YEA."
