The image at the center of the controversy
The chairman of the board of directors of the National Youth Agency, Sammy Awuku, is unhappy with the bad publicity that characterized the aftermath of a visit by former president John Agyekum Kufuor by the Ghanaian artist, Wendy Shay and the youth employment ambbadadors.
After the visit, Wendy Shay published a photo she took with John Agyekum Kufuor on her Instagram page, which earned her many negative reactions on social media.

The photo that became viral on social media was subtitled: "Kufuor pe hwe. Finally, I met my former chief driver Uber.
In an article posted on Facebook, the chairman of the YEA board of directors said that the comment on social media that accompanied the visit of the ambbadadors of YEA and the leadership to the former president Kufuor was "not the kind of advertising and reactions expected by the board of directors of YEA."
Sammy instructed the management to "ensure that the ambbadadors remain true to the highest level of professionalism when they pay such courtesy calls".
"Management must also ensure that ambbadadors use these visits to project the very vision of the board and the new job opportunities offered by the agency to unemployed youth in our country," he added.
He noted that standards must be established for all those who are willing to comply.
"Those who wish to cooperate must be supported and welcomed and those who do not want to comply with these standards must see the exit. Let's be focused and not major in the miners as we come together to provide jobs for the many unemployed youth in our country, "he concluded.
Wendy Shay's apology
Meanwhile, Wendy Shay has apologized to former President John Agyekum Kufuor for this post that has been described by many as disrespectful.
